FLOWER POWER

single red rose
equals a romantic
story untold
a bouquet
of twelve
equals a relationship
to respect, reflect, never
forget
this floral gift
full of promises
with no
guarantees
that will seek to
wake up your senses,
shake
up your dreams
be careful though
as you trim the
stems
before displaying in your best vase
be careful of
those
thorns that will
unfold histories
symbols of
romance;
of love and pain,
are embedded within
their
beauty
will keep you hooked
into their romantic illusions
wars
are lost and won
blood is shed
love is gained
